Christmas Joy Tree: 

Each year at Christmas time Free Inn Deed partners with Grace Fellowship Church and Community Bible Church, both of Tunkhannock, PA to provide Christmas gifts to children or grandchildren of inmates at the Wyoming County Correctional Facility.   This program helps the parents or grandparents in prison to connect with their children or grandchildren through the delivery of Christmas gifts.  Free Inn Deed also works with the Angel Tree Christmas program part Prison Fellowship to  connect those parents who are in either state of federal facilities and have children or grand children living in our area.  This program allows Free Inn Deed to share Christ's love to both the inmates and their families.  This program not only provides a gift to children from their incarcerated parent or grandparent, but allows us to show the true meaning of Christmas with the good news of our Lord Jesus Christ.  Each year the board members delivery these gifts to the children along with a grocery store gift card to the caregivers, and each year the board members are blessed during the delivery and meeting these families. 


P2C - Parent to Child:

Each year at Christmas time Free Inn Deed gives the inmates at the Wyoming County Correctional Facility the opportunity to read the Christmas Story and have it recorded for their children or grandchildren.  This provides the inmate a personnel connection to the children or grandchildren.  Free Inn Deed then provides the children with a DVD along with the book the inmate has read to them.  At this time the inmates are also given the opportunity to write Christmas cards to family members. 

Past Events

5th Annual Free Inn-Deed Walk scheduled for May 18, 2008 was canceled for the first time due to inclement weather.

Founders Day, June 21, 2008. The town of Tunkhannock celebrates its founding, the 3RD Saturday in June. Free Inn-Deed sets up a booth each year to promote community awareness of our mission to the local incarcerated women. This year was a great success. Many visited the booth to learn more about our ministry.
